The joy of the Lord is my strength is scriptural but for some of us could feel like a cliché!

Joy and happiness are of course intertwined, those fantastic feelings triggering “feel good hormones” (example endorphins).

Joy is usually an emotion of exhilaration, excitement and even glee, while happiness refers to a state of mind and usually one of cheerfulness.

As humans, it is innate to desire or express joy continuously and often experience what may be “situational joy”; for example, a partner sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

As humans and even more so as a child of God, do I feel happy all the time? Absolutely not! Those days of sadness and anger do await in the shadows and can creep in without warning!

It is normal also to experience opposite emotions to joy in our lives; what is not normal is extended periods that causes impairment in our daily activities and may need professional intervention.

God’s unending JOY in my life is deep rooted through the Supernatural power of His Holy spirit. That’s when Spiritual ammunitions are brought out to counteract sabotage of the enemy!

Meditation on, with faith and understanding of his words are activated. At times, those still small positive voices that brings hope, peace and contentment to my being is my version of God’s Unending Joy, My Unending Strength!
